About
Meet Fernando
I'm Fernando — a surf photographer and videographer based in Weligama, on Sri Lanka's South Coast. I picked up my first camera back in 2016, shooting friends surfing at the local point, and I haven't stopped chasing light and waves since. What started as a hobby on the sand quickly became a full-time obsession with catching the split second a surfer drops in.
Years of reading these breaks — Weligama, Mirissa, Ahangama, Midigama and the world-class point at Arugam Bay — mean I know exactly where to be when the light turns gold: glassy dawn sessions and golden-hour sunsets. Whether it's your very first wave or a clean barrel, I'll be in the water or on the beach getting the shot — and you'll see a same-day preview before you've even dried off.

We shoot along the South Coast — Weligama, Mirissa, Ahangama and Midigama — and at Arugam Bay on the East Coast, following the surf season.
The South Coast (Weligama, Mirissa, Ahangama, Midigama) works best from November to April. Arugam Bay and the East Coast are best from May to September.
Sessions run from $30 (Beach) to $70 (Photo + Video), with a $50 Premium Surf session, $40 Surf Video and $20 per person for groups. Same-day express delivery is +$5.
Yes — drone aerials and video are available on request. Please book drone coverage at least a day in advance so we can plan the flight around the conditions.
You get a same-day preview before you leave the water, and your professionally edited private gallery is delivered digitally in high resolution shortly after.
Not at all. We shoot all levels — the beginner-friendly beach breaks of Weligama and Mirissa are perfect for first-timers, right through to advanced surfers at Midigama and Arugam Bay.
